Struggling to add numbers to your squat lift?

Struggling to add numbers to your Squat? Sometimes a heavy squat program isn’t always the 1st solution. Take a look at your flexibility as this is key to a sustainable, progressive squat routine alongside a suitable strength program.
Ian had been working extremely hard on his flexibility over the past year and over the past 3 months has seen consistent strength progress in his Squat, Deadlift and Bench Press. Taking into account he drives over an hour to work and back each day and being mainly desk based, this makes his achievements even more commendable.
The difference between the 2 pictures may not seem obvious however pictured right is Ian’s most recent Squat session., compared to last year (on the left)

-He now sits a lot more upright in the squat, wit better core engagement -His glutes and hamstrings are now engaging more consistently due to better squat depth.

-His knees are no longer tracking too far over his toes

-His feet are not pointing out to the side as the previous photo, with less stress on knees and ankles

-His is lifting heavier weight, more comfortably

-He has also dropped some serious bodyfat too ????
